Video Game sales shine amid pandemic

• June 2020 tracked spending across Video Game hardware, software, accessories and game cards totaled $1.2 billion

• Up 26% as compared to an year ago

• Highest June figure since 2009, when Nintendo’s Wii console was flying off the shelves

• U.S. video game industry surpassed its all-time record for April, also dating back to 2008

• Sales spike 73% compared to the previous year, in April
